Increasing muscle tone and reshaping your body does not have to be difficult. Take the guesswork out of your exercise program with the help of a personal trainer professional. Many people waste time at the gym because they have improper form and rely on outdated information, or misinformation from health magazines. If you consider the fact it takes about 300 repetitions of a given exercise to ingrain a movement pattern. It takes up to 5000 repetitions of a given exercise to undo the improper form you have taught yourself. Why not save yourself the hassle, not to mention potential injury and hire someone to take care of that for you? Yes, performing an exercise improperly can affect the way you look. Execution and choice of exercises are critical if you want a balanced and toned appearance.
It’s time to stop feeling so fatigued and tired all of the time! A personal training program which increases your energy is one that is designed and executed properly. Get over an injury, new or old
Do you like the idea of getting back into shape but are worried about aggravating a current or pre-existing injury?
A Premier personal trainer will conduct an assessment of your body and develop a program which will allow you to work around, improve, or possibly eliminate injuries.
The Importance of an Assessment
Your program is only as good as your assessment! Our assessments are based on deep experience and hundreds of hours of education.
Everyone has some muscles that need stretching and some that need strengthening. Daily routines of work and exercise result in imbalances. We use precise measurements to determine exactly what your body needs to help you feel great, perform optimally, and prevent injuries.
You wouldn’t expect a race car driver to hit the road at full speed without having the alignment of his vehicle checked….The human body needs the same attention! Most people have some posture and alignment problems to straighten out before they start heavily loading their bodies with an exercise program.
Unfortunately, many injuries result from an inappropriate exercise program, landing a well-intentioned exerciser in physical therapy.
With our assessment-based program design, your risk of injury goes way down. A properly customized program will help you prevent injuries in activities ranging from yard-work to playing with your kids to competing in sports.
Dramatically improve your sports performance
We understand the energy demands and abilities needed for any sport. We will help you define what your weaknesses are within your sport (if you don’t know already) and provide solutions. Below is an example of how a premier personal trainer looks at the demands of the sport and prescribes exercises for it.
Tennis player: Playing tennis requires short bursts of energy, quick changes in direction, and endurance.
Tennis, much like soccer, involves quick changes in direction requiring the hamstrings to act as decelerators. It is quite common to injure the hamstrings in both of these sports. The last thing you want is a hamstring injury to end your season. We will check the length of your hamstrings to make sure they are within normal range. Additionally we measure the strength of your hamstrings relative to your quadriceps. It is common for the quads to be stronger relative to the hamstrings in many people – which leave you at a much greater risk!
Did you know exercise selection during your sport “in season” could be counterproductive?
For example, a tennis player performs hundreds of lunges during a match. If you have lunges in your program during your tennis season, you are overdoing the lunge pattern. Pattern overload leads to repetitive stress injuries.
Don’t make the mistake of selecting your own exercises for your sport.
Whatever sport you participate in, a personal training professional can determine the exercises which will help you improve your game.
